Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs)

Licensed Vocational Nurses, LVNs, are state-licensed skilled nurses providing skilled nursing services to patients, as per the Plan of Care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. LVNs are able to perform additional services if mapped out in the Plan of Care by the supervising RN. LVNs may also take on a supervisory role, aiding in the management of Certified Home Health Aides. LVN duties may include:

  • Injections

  • Minor Wound Care

  • Medication Set-up

  • Medication Management

Requirements: Licensed by the State's Board of Nursing as a LVN, excellent communication skills are required to build effective working relationships with the customer and their families. Organizational skills as well as dedication to seniors are preferred qualifications.
